Summary: The works of an Indian poet from Texas. In Grandfather Buffalo, he writes: "I saw them staring at him / in the mall I was small / holding his granite hand / his skin was bronzed / straight blue-black hair / his eyes and nose slightly curved / towards earth. I knew what was in their stares / an old Indian coin / a fat-lipped feathered caricature / a Cleveland team name ..."
